  1. The common denominator is neoliberalism, which was designed to exacerbate inequality. The move to globalisation accelerated inequality and the accompanying financial deregulation spurned the financial crash. The imposition of austerity then emphasised inequality while tolerating and even accelerating it. We have created a perfect economic shit-storm, exposed by pandemic and conflict. Enter Brexit to show that a government can easily take the p1ss.
