@sirius4496 this video conflates socialism with public property, the government doing stuff and the government owning the means of production over all and this definition is only true if you take dictators at face value but in socialist spaces for the last almost a 180 years the defition that has been used is the workers owning the means of production, not capitalists, not the government, in fact communism seeks to abolish the government

@sirius4496 why is it wrong? also yes Marx did not coined the term socialism it was Pierre Leroux but his ideas are even further of what this video presents as socialism

@sirius4496 I don't think that he's using a necessarily incorrect definition anymore but I do think he's generalizing, he's talking like there's only 1 definition of socialism when there's at least 3 and therefore this video is very misleading and leads people to think for example socialist like me support systems like North Korea's or some specific political parties wich is not true

@sirius4496 what is the one definition of socialism then? how did you get to that specific definition? and how do you deal with the different branches of socialism and people that define socialism in very different ways?

@UsoundsGermany non for-profit economy, and there has been proposals by various economists but nothing tangible so far as I know, it's still an idea

@UsoundsGermany no, you know how in capitalism everything is done this make more money and ending up fucking up the climate or with slavery (wich still exists btw) or invading other countries to make nore money, so it'd be the opposite of that
