Funny a neo-Horthyist like Orban should talk about what's against the rules of democracy and morals.

Good for Weber! It would have been problematic for him to be perceived as a far right and Russian stooge.

@sagewaifu3272 You should call yourself Simply Fascist.

No need to proclaim your fetishes everywhere!

@Homelander-ftw Neo-Horthyism is the Hungarian variant of neo-fascism: ultranationalism, antisemitism, racism, xenophobia, authoritarianism (suppression of civil and social rights), religious fundamentalism, euroscepticism, all of which Orban expounds.

@Homelander-ftw He was, and Orban is wallowing like a pig in nostalgia after Horthy. Horthy's government was antisemitic and invoked a Numerus Clausus (quota) law of September 1920, which restricted the number of Jews who could attend university. In fact, Hungary was the first government in post-World War I Europe to issue such a restriction. Hungary allied itself with Germany and Italy In 1938 Horthy began instituting further anti-Jewish legislation.

@Homelander-ftw You're contradicting Yad Vashem, which means you're engaging in antisemitism and historical revisionism like Holocaust deniers. America never had laws excluding Jews from education or public life, what are you even talking about?

@Headohones Love No, it's just as democratic as any other, certainly more so than Orban's Hungary, just not fully developed. How Hitler started is irrelevant to the nature of his regime, which was totalitarian, a direction which Orban is taking.

@Headohones Love I just offered another example besides Orban according to your understanding of democracy. The EC president is like a prime minister, that's how it works for any parliamentary democracy. The Council has the heads of state government of the states that make up the EU, all democratically elected. As the EU isn't fully developed, there are still areas in which it devolves decisions to national governments.

@Headohones Love Orban is undemocratic for many reasons. He gets 50% of the vote, but through gerrymandering he has 66% of all seats in parliament; he's killed press freedom, civil and social rights; the justice system is no longer independent; he engages in all sorts of antisemitic campaigns and racist rhetoric and policies.

@andrewp2444 The mild trials and tribulations in democratic societies of those who'd want to transform their societies into despotic regimes like Russia and Hungary are can never be equivalent to those who bear the brunt of despotic policies in autocratic states. Cry me a river, Nazi!

@andrewp2444 Another neo-Nazi spewing antisemitic conspiracy theories.
