  1. Democratic Poland and Hungary are much more close to home. How about supporting democracy in these EU member countries that have gone down the fascist route and start seriously challenging fascism in Western Europe, which is making inroads into political power? The EU is overextending into former Soviet space and the Balkans, while the political climate inside its member states is becoming ever more authoritarian and right leaning.
