Which is owned by the tax payer though, she doesn't (nor does any member of the Royals) own Buckingham Palace and thus doesn't form part of the Crown Estate, (Sandringham is one of those the Monarch herself owns, believe Balmoral as well, least I think it does) it's more accurate to see the majority as an Office (if not the whole place) of State like the Home and Foreign Offices.

@stretfordender11 It's held in Trust by the Crown Estate but it certainly doesn't belong to the Monarch at all

It's not a 300 year old Palace it's a 300 year old what was called Buckingham House, before Victoria moved the HQ of the Monarchy there, its really only been a palace for little over 100 years. Was designed originally by the Duke of Buckingham (without whats at the front) that came from Victoria's eldest son who became Edward VII (who widened the Mall, the road going up to it as well) as what is pretty much what's never changed inside there since his reign.

Which the white house being funded by your tax system the same way our Monarchy as a whole is lol, actually rather recently (compared to the whole history of Monarchy that is) their spending's made public as well. Her residence being Balmoral when she moves up to Scotland for the summer, ever since Victoria's spouse and Consort (namely Albert) bought her the Balmoral Estate.
