@EmmaGodLovesTruth95 MK-Ultra didn't start until the 50s, was because of the POWs in the Korean war after coming back to the US espousing communist propaganda believing they'd been brain washed. Was to get the opponents/enemies of the US like soldiers to get them to give up secrets without them knowing about it, was stopped in the 70s as it was deemed to be a complete failure.
