He was Jewish (as is his family even going to Israel as his birthright prior to going to NK), you're going to say it wasn't a staged and coerced confession next, which it evidently was

I would argue it has a lot to do with it though, but rather non of the other captives have come back quite essentially brain dead so can see some of your point so yeah apologies on that one!

  50.  @ddavis5631  Oh yeah are things I've learnt since watching the conference and evidently staged 'confession' of his, like I think with this video where a former spy for the country said about what he thinks happened to him. In the 'confession' video Warmbier said he'd done it for the Z society (I think they even made him say he was a member of it, a secretive group) with a Baptist Church (can't exactly remember which one) were working in cahoots with the CIA to demoralise North Korea and its people. Interestingly enough a man (I have completely forgotten their name annoyingly) who has since been released as part of a deal with the US, believes they may have seen Warmbier with his head wet and being dragged by guards, but he's not exactly certain (if it was or which ever, means he would have been waterboarded but since can't say for certain if it was him exactly).
