@nc01sadh Is an idea at least (not sure if you could call it a hypothesis but... whatever) that it can least sometimes be because of taking antibiotics, its the link between the brain and the gut essentially. Like when one gets hugely nervous or anxious the bowel tends to stop working properly, its the link which causes it, they think most of the body's serotonin is synthesised in the bowel (or the abdomen for certain anyways), there's a number of people getting varying kinds of help from Drs to do with mental health (psychologists) and is a number of them previously having taken antibiotics. Rather with antibiotics it doesnt just get rid of some kinds of infections depending on what kind of infection it is to treat, it also wipes out the good bacteria with it (why with a bowel infection they often prefer to just let the body get through it, rather than causing more problems as a result of treating it with medication like C-Diff infections) and they're thinking it could be that which can cause mental health problems.
