Essentially the EMU's are (like the shuttles fuel for the rockets SRB's, being fuelled to what was quite essentially a giant bomb comprised of liquid oxygen and hydrogen (the two elements used to make water when fission occurs to make the molecule we come to know as H2O or water) like a rather large balloon filled with pure oxygen, as the ISS's atmosphere even can't be recreated inside an EMU.

"Johnny Mak wrong the camera technology and space suits of the time weren’t capable" Hamilton standard and ILC would heavily dispute that claim actually, it took a while for them to ever actually create a workable suit though granted but they were possible back then, in fact the EMU (as it's called actually and stands for Extravehicular Mobility Unit, for doing EVA's outside of the ISS (among other things but mostly for those I suppose), which stands for Extra Vehicular Activity aka Space Walk or whatever you prefer to call it) has barely even changed since then either.
