@Sheila-G Most of the Monarchy's funding is not from the tax payer, its from the Duchy of Lancaster and the Crown Estate (the latter being the largest property portfolio or property development company in the country). There's a portion of the proceedings when Charles was coronated when they asked him if he'd surrender the Monarchy's income to essentially the state, which they did (though he had no choice really lol). About 10-15% of profits from those revenues goes back to the Monarch to perform their public obligations as Monarch (and their suppose functioning family). One of the reasons why Charles won't remove their title is because of him making the Duchy of Cornwall profitable, prior to him (unlike the PoW is automatically given to the new heir when the Monarch dies, PoW isn't always just when the Monarch feels its appropriate) was always losing money lol. Would therefore make him look like a hypocrite lol.
