@sfr2107 The 1st time I weighed out 1/4 ounce of shaved beef on a a Toledo scale was 1973...and I've been practicing cooking, baking, water-bath & pressure canning in pints & quart jars ever since...I've helped put up an entire garden of food in a season...I've helped feed well over one-thousand people on Holidays like Mother's Day, Easter, etc. I did it all using ounces, pounds, and portions in dozens & half-dozens, etc...I know enough metrics to get by...But seriously..."Metrics" is a brainless system for people who cannot count past "10"! 🤪 😜 🤪 😁
