@MrMedukneusha Firstly define the term "culturally Progressive" and contrast that to the totalitarian jingoist/ultranationalist traditionalism (social conservatism) of any fascist movement of the past. It seems to me that you merely defining fascism and Progressivism by how much power the state holds within these respective ideolgies. Find me a Fascist who was or is supportive of LGBTQ-Rights, or rights for minorities in general, you won't any. Essentially you are conflating all form of authoritarianism with one another by calling them "Progressive"/left wing. Even Absolutism is left wing by your standarts! It is the typical conservative/libertarian logic, oversimplification of the political landscape: "bIg GoVaMeNT bAd, lEfT bIG GoVaMeNT, LeFT bAdddd!!!" It is ludacrious!!
