Then four years later I bought his brother. As I led him from the trailer he saw his brother in the field and he got away from me and jumped the gate still wearing his travelling boots. They squealed with delight and nuzzled together. Don't let anyone tell you animals don't remember or that they don't feel love, because they do.

What a sad event. I felt so guilty for sending him away after he made it home. I will never do that again!
