#1 is the reason why people who makes $100k per year are still complaining they have no money. This was me in my 50s, the decade when I finally made decent money.đ DONâT do this.

The western countries are in decline.

So true, our continued good health is a prime reason why we are doing well since retiring.

Thank goodness I started investing at 30. 𼳠đI would still be fine if I started at 40, though. đ keeping expenses low is key.

Working from 9 to 9, 6 days a week is so inhumane. Stop buying crap, be minimal.

Please do a tax saving video on retirees on SS and retirement accounts.

Beware of some NGOs, check how much the CEOs are making. The ASPCA's CEO makes 840k a year and only gives very little to actually help animals. Beware.

@atrumluminarium the mass transit system in many areas in America is awful!

Save, invest, diversify. I have 403b, ROTH, IRA, non IRA accounts Index fund, Wait 25 years, boom! Remember to never deprive yourself. If you love coffee, go out and treat yourself. Life is too short.
3
Autopay all your bills.

Think smaller and you will be happier. I bought a small apartment instead of a house. Less tax, and less utilities.
2
If I am rich, I would travel more! International countries to enjoy their culture and food.
2
I agree, managed my own 403b investments and much better off for it.

I enjoy coffee, love the taste and smell. Will never give it up.âď¸

Assuming my family is not toxic.

@BOSSDONMAN He only needs 20% down, and wait for interest rates to come down, buy a modest house.

@BOSSDONMAN stop insulting boomers, some of us are way smarter than you.

This is true. If I get 75k per year for the rest of my life, I would be very happy.
1
Spread it around, diversify.

Live minimally, save for your freedom. The American dream is a trap. I never made 120k per year, but still managed to save and invest for more money than I can imagine.

I prefer to open an account in a real brick and mortar bank. Are there a rating on them. Credit Unions are excellent.

No one should depend solely on what's taught in school. I learned all that by myself prior to the internet. I went to to library and started reading. It's common sense.

@cryptojonny6837 you can start withdrawals at age 59-1/2. I intend to take SS immediately, after I retire from my job at 62. Then ROTH, then IRA. Don't wait too long to enjoy your money, and never starve yourself from doing what you love.

I saved and invested for 35 years, especially during age 50-60 since I made more then. Comfortably retired now. Save and invest!!!!

Hereâs the thing, Jeff Bezo, Elon Musk, etc are disgusting non-tax paying people that I donât admire. Never want to be like them. Paying your taxes is actually a social responsibility. Who else will pay for the upkeep of bridges, roads, sidewalks, sanitations, clean water? I donât want to live in a dystopian city.

We need national healthcare in this country. No one should be poor and ill. And yes, Obamacare is expensive. I paid $1200 per month in 2023 before going on Medicare. Even Medicare is expensive for some, $174+$215 per month.
1
@niceguydmm I donât know why except that a Silver plan cost $1200 per month and itâs an HMO. It sucks.
1
@ibberman Drop Medicare Advantage plan, and sign up for traditional Medicare Part B (plan N is a good option, my doctors donât charge me the copays), and Part D and a Medigap plan.

People got new jobs, or retired early. When I was younger, I quit for a new job every year or so. Not a big deal.
