  1. looks like it was a pleasant place to live when it was new, but every building demands maintenance every month, every year. This is what it looks like if that maintenance is ignored, not just for years, but for generations. We cannot blame the residents, for they don't have the money to pay for even basic improvements and they don't own the property. They are its victims. We see them try, but in dangerous ways because they are not professionals. Add alcohol to this story and you really have some insurmountable challenges. Good luck to all who live here and to all the Tanyas of the world who really need our help.

  2. a nice sized apartment for 1 person, but not for a family as originally built. Retirees (pensioners) everywhere feel the squeeze of low income and ever rising prices of essentials. It gives them no ability to maintain or modernize their apartments and the feeling of no hope for the future. A real pity. The disrespect of the elderly and deprioritization of funding for supporting the elderly is a sign of societal illness almost worldwide. Many thanks to the kind babushka who generously offered us access to her home!!
