  2. the parents are pointing the finger at everybody except themselves ... when your immature son comes to you and says he's going to go frolic in a dictatorial country in order to get some instagram posts that will make him seem more interesting to his college friends, you say, "no you're not" ... you don't say, "awww, that's so Otto!" and open your checkbook. If he insists you say, "you get on that plane young man and we're withdrawing you from college while you're gone - your tuition gravy train will dry up the moment that jet is wheels up"
