  25. When everyone thinks of a guy as their best friend, he is no one's best friend, he is just a blank slate encouraging them to projecting their image of friendship onto him. He's a Mr. Ripley, probably a dangerous dude if you crossed him. Only shady people need to sneak out of town in a hurry - this guy used other people, your dad was lucky to get away without more than a hole in his heart. Serge was a sociopath. You can tell Aria's mom was onto him from the beginning in some intuitive way. She didn't trust him.
