Ric Riccardo's main restaurant (Riccardo Restaurant and Gallery) was an elegant place ("where artists meet") at Rush and Hubbard for over 50 years from the '30s into the late '80s. You could get lobster, steaks, braciole and lasagna imbottite, but no pizza

Ritz Cracker mock apple pie is delicious! prefer it to the real thing
1

1
"slice them rather thin" - at least Civil War receipt writers had mastered English grammar, unlike today's cooking show dullards who all insist in slicing things "thinly"
1
I've heard about Coronation Chicken all my life, but never had it - this actually looks good (might holdback on the mayo, though)
1
Pork was always intentionally overcooked in that era because peeps were afraid of getting trichinosis
1
That canned corn looks awful! I would need to use fresh sweet corn or fresh frozen
1
I think Mrs Murphy's recipe was sweet
