  1.  @themedleb  It really depends. You can't go black and white when it comes to software. Closed source Nvidia drivers are better than open source ones, while open source AMD drivers are the beast. It all depends on the people maintaining the software and how much they care for it. For example, Microsoft vs Valve

  2.  @themedleb  Skype is still alive, so I'm not worried of a huge closed source software going poof in my life time. But in a huge way I agree with you, that's why Nvidia's future will be to open source their drivers, like both Intel and AMD did
