  8. c binion thanks and i agree, but it still appears that it would only be on US soil and or "territory" i dont think assnge's "right" to our first amendment would apply in Ecuadorian / England embassy ( i think thats where he is ) where as the defendants you cited, were on US territory, so yes i agree if he were to be brought here, to the USA the first amendment may apply in his defense, but im not absolute on this. in addition, freedom of the press doesnt allow one to leak classified information which i believe assange has been accused of.
