  1. DA's don't effect crime rates directly. But refusing to prosecute criminals incentivizes criminals to do more of the same crime. Hence the rampant shoplifting, and vandalism. How Is this not obvious?

  2.  @Flamingtorpedostrike  it doesn't. But it's a DA's job to prosecute crimes. It's not their job to qualify what is or isn't a crime. That's the legislators job. The DA is refusing to do his job....and thus was rightfully ousted. Soon Portland and Seattle will follow suit.
