  1. American education has suffered because of television culture and indoctrination. Let’s start with the sitcom called Welcome Back Kotter (sp) it brought the respect for educators down exponentially. Soo funny. As this progressed lawmakers were cleverly defunding education. Now teachers are barely given budgets and that is blamed on salaries and benefits that are underfunded by politicians. So here we are . Cant do the math can we.
