or you could take the hint and buy an android

money is literally ALL business is about

and they shut down nuclear like idiots

@MoLassessss what? buy and iPhone and join the ranks of people struggling with power cord issues? why would I do that? See, when I need to charge my android, I never have an issue doing so. I can use even cords that weren't for my phone, or someone surely has one. But the fact you constantly find yourself asking for a charger is not something that convinces me to buy the product that would leave me with the same issue.
3
@MoLassessss What reason is their to buy an iPhone?

US is already one of the most energy efficient countries with declining emisions for more than 15yrs straight already.

why not just cap the number of rental properties a company can own/manage in a given city?
1
@roberto8650 But putting a cap, would force them to sell anything above the cap.
1
@roberto8650 I understand shell corporations are an issue, but depending on the cap/limit, that would be an awful lot of small shell corporations. Perhaps give them 6months to sell their rental properties below to get below the cap, to companies or individuals who already "exist" before the cap. Add a clause that says rental companies cannot be owned by other companies or something.

@roberto8650 I don't care who you are. Offer a solution. If you think so highly of yourself then what would your solution be? While I may not be a lawyer, I had a chance to go to Harvard on a full-ride to be one, and have had 2 lawyers try to hire me later in life. If you knew me better you'd understand why they wanted to hire me so badly. I don't know all about being a lawyer (not that I couldn't have had I pursued it), but I know enough to be effective at using my skills to advantage.
1
@roberto8650 I didn't demand anything. I'm just calling you out for your smugness and your assertion of superiority because you're a lawyer, as if that magically makes you better or smarter than everyone else. It does not. But if you're complaining it implies you have a better idea. But you complain about the problem, without offering any better alternatives? So you just whine because you like whining? In the military, and in my current job in engineering, you're only allowed to complain if you offer a better alternative. No one likes a whiner. It's petty and childish.
1
@roberto8650 I never said I went to Harvard, I said I had an opportunity to attend Harvard on a full ride. But I have been to Boston and been within 10k of Harvard as well. You must be a terrible lawyer with such lack of attention to detail. Isn't reading written words accurately an important skill for a lawyer? You're very proud of your shell corps though. Which indicates to me what type of lawyer you are. I never said it was difficult to setup a shell corp. I merely proposed the idea of a cap, and you didn't like it. Clearly I struck a nerve with the idea of caps. But you have no alternative ideas. seems to me you work for one of these real estate companies and want to ensure they continue to be able to corner the market and drive up prices. "This is the solution. If you're not interested in it, that's up to you. But I'm fucking tired of morons discarding the answer and telling us we don't have an answer." But you never stated what the solution was. I can't reject something you never said. You rejected my idea, and refused to offer a different solution. I doubt you're not a lawyer, you're just an immature troll that thinks insults win arguments. Do you also use insults with a judge or opponent in court too? Every lawyer I've ever talked to before was more professional than you, actually cited laws or gave good logic and reasoned explanations. But I wouldn't trust you as a lawyer for anything. If you were my lawyer, I'd expect to lose any case I was in. State your solution, or accept that you are contributing nothing of value to the discussion.

@ who cares? China and India erase any gains you make. and the impact of carbon dioxide ont eh atmosphere is a lie. go research how it actually works, according to real chemistry and physics. the politicians are lying to you.

Name that last Real innovation Apple has given people since the iPhone?

shutting down nuclear power was stupid. the "climate" is not teh problem, it is gov socialists trying to rig the economy destroying the economy.
1
you can't conscript/draft new people (from a population that doesn't want to fight and die no less), train them, equip them, and expect them to fight effectively, overnight. It takes months at best. So even if they declared war, it's not going to help as much as people might think. Just more meat for the grinder.
1
@cherylderue336 since I can't seem to get any honest and unbiased reporting on what was actually going on in that region prior to Feb 2022, I refuse to take sides on the matter. Those who claim issues tend to think Russia was justified in committing war crimes too. And whenever I try to find out more on my own, I find no evidence the Ukrainians were killing their own people Other than separatists who took up arms against the Ukrainian gov, often at the behest of Russian FSB influence.
1
@cherylderue336 you're making lots of assumptions and putting words in my mouth and accusing me of things I never said. How about you try again, this time without all the incorrect information. this is Exactly why i can't trust ANYTHING I hear about what was going on prior to teh invasion. No one can just stick to the facts.

@emmanueltugume249 How has the world suffered due to NATO?

develop another connector, for other devices and uses, put it on laptops (which is how i first encountered USB-C myself), and then convince everyone to switch to teh new better connector. Helps if the creator of the connector makes it financially viable to implement in their devices by not overcharging companies to license it.
1
@GabbieCh But it's just like people who don't carry a pen and constantly ask everyone else if they can borrow one. People walk through life always unprepared. They know they're going to need a charging cable, but never bother to bring one. It's not an issue of finding places to plug in, it's the fact they didn't bother to bring their charger in the first place.
1
@GabbieCh I am like you. I always bring what I need with me. But I also don't have sympathy for those who live their lives unprepared. People always act like life is out to get them, when they praise themselves for refusing to act on the easy solutions to the problems they created are before them.
