  2.  @wolfgangkranek376  Many Iraqis helped us and wanted us there (a few asked us why we didn't finish taking out Saddam in 1991). We did not kill indiscriminately. We won Ramadi with the help of the local Iraqis. Once we cleared a sector, the locals would help keep it clear. Most insurgents were outsiders and the locals knew very well who the bad guys were, who didn't belong in their communities.
