  8. Bookstores, Hollywood, and more woke Feminist communists have tried for years to claim that WOMEN won WW2, not the men. Every history section in every bookstore these days has more books about women in wars, than actual books about the critical battles in those wars.

  13. part of the problem is to find out if a movie is crap, people have to go see it. So even if people hated it, their money at the box office still counts towards the company's profits. These ticket sales to those who hate it give them a false sense of success.

  18. local theaters have struggled to attract viewers, and so rerelease real classics like the original star wars, LOTR, harry potter, movies from the 1970s, 1980s, and other movies people never got to see in theaters due to age or other reasons.

To try to compare this story to the sacrifices of the men who fought and died in WW2 and so many other conflicts is disgraceful. "Does Black success make you angry?! " what does being black have to do with anything? Why are you a racist? What success are you claiming? the war was already won by January 1945. Their participation did Nothing to change that. "Let those of us who see their significance celebrate them." who is that? Woke Marxist Communists who push radical racial and gender divisions within society in order to gain power for the political elite?

  29.  @jello5508  we know the 1980s-1990s were better, because we lived it if you didn't, you have no idea what it was like and how much better it was then than it is now. far more movies did well back then. Look how many hundreds of movies come out now, and we can't even guarantee a single one will be a box office hit each year. far more modern movies become flops now and age poorly. Lack of practical effects and good story telling, compelling characters, etc.

"More movies are made now than ever" exactly, and yet despite that, there are so few good movies compared to the past. most of it is hot garbage. If it was good stuff, teh theaters would be making money like crazy with more hits and more population to serve, but they're not. Statistically, by making more movies now than ever before, we should be getting MORE hits than in the past, but we're not. "Also streaming has a huge part to play in your weird glorification of the 80's box office" true, but I'm talking about stuff being Worth watching in teh first place. even with streaming most of us are skipping this stuff. and so little is worth seeing in the theaters. Movies going straight to VHS/DVD without theatrical release was a thing in teh 1980s and 1990s too.

  31.  @jello5508  yeah, I guess Star Wars never happened, nor back to the future, Top Gun, Princess bride, Die Hard, Blade Runner, Goonies, Terminator, et. nor a myriad of other films. Many franchises started then. Modern movies are cashing in on the nostalgia of the 1980s and 1990s.

Star Wars Back to the Future Princess Bride Top Gun (top selling VHS, DVD movie ever) Terminator Blade Runner (not just a movie, but an iconic book) ...... are icons, classics, and people still enjoy them today. Modern movies use 80s music because modern music also sucks. People actually used to sing about actual life, and didn't need auto tune. just becasue you like modern trash and have no comprehension of what makes something good, doesn't make you right. All you can do is point to something and call it trash and dismiss it but you have no legit argument as to why.

  33. Tuskegee airmen have been overblown and done to death (multiple movies, Masters of the Air, etc.). Lady Death was the subject of "Battle for Sevestapol" I believe there has been a movie about the night witches (also overblown impact on WW2, but an interesting and noteworthy story).

  36.  @SalemArc  "Sometimes, these men needed letters from loved ones to keep them going." yet the backlog was likely mostly letters for soldiers who were already dead and never got to read the letters of their loved ones before dying. There is NOTHING heroic about that. It's an embarrassing tragedy that they didn't get those letters, if anything.
