My general opinion of British aircraft design: occasionally they create a true beauty, but 95% of the time they are downright hideous. Most designs are so ugly I wouldn't want to fly them even if given the opportunity. But the Brits have made some truly noteworthy designs, aesthetics aside.

@owenshebbeare2999 It's not bias to think most of their designs are truly ugly. It's just personal preference. Bias would be refusing to recognize when they make a contribution to aviation history or the advancement of aerospace, regardless how good the design does/doesn't look, simply because it was a British design. But I both acknowledged some of their designs are beautiful, even artistically so, and that some of the noteworthy designs were aesthetically pleasing.
