  1. The US gov has that data. In the past when marriage was still a thing, women in the US received over 70% of ALL death and retirement benefits in the US, both private and government funded (personal accounts/assets, life insurance policies, SS, veterans benefits, pensions....). These were US gov statistics. Men earned most of it, but the women ended up with most of it. Seems they were better off before.....as we all knew.

  3. by law, US children do not have full rights and liberties of ADULTS. This is for their Own protection. They need to have time to grow, learn, and develop proper morals before being let loose on their own to make their way in life.

  4.  @Michael-yd7nt  and when the husband dies, she is awarded all of his retirement benefits. But when the wife dies first, the husband doesn't always receive her benefits.

  5. The irony of women complaining they have only 30% as much in retirement. Yet back when women were in stable marriages, they used to control/receive 70% of ALL retirement and death benefits in the US. Now that they are strong and independent they're no longer the beneficiaries of men's life insurance, SS, and retirement accounts and assets, they make 30% as much as a man due to working less, accomplishing less, and saving less (we all knew women are big spenders).

  6. if the gender pay gap were real, there is a US federal law from over 50yrs ago they could go to court over. but they don't, because they don't have a case.
