  2.  @garticus4426  Not really, the earth is FAR from carrying capacity. Garbage is manageable if done right, but we should be returning to a model of reusing and repairing products, and designing products to last. but that doesn't fit the infinite growth economic models teh big corporations and career politicians love. Gov is the problem, gov used propaganda after WW1 to turn society into consumers, which really took off after teh end of WW2. Corporations and govs are addicted to consumerism, and forced it on the public. It's a long story, but it's the root of the problem, not population.

  6. I've been doing this for years. Studying the lessons and tech of teh past, and combining the best of old and new to find better overall solutions.

  7. @Grim FPV Wrong. it is very possible for everyone to grow their own food, with smaller farms supplying the difference. Look at developing countries who still lack infrastructure and energy access as we do. their populations rise slower, but still rising.

  8. @Grim FPV People are growing their food in teh densely populated cities of the US and other developed nations. not hard to see the myriad of examples of how to do it.

  11.  @andrewgodly5739  yep, you're one of them. those of us old enough to grow up before all this modern tech and easy living, or who've spent years of our lives living in 3rd world countries and se the squalor and violence others still have to contend with, we understand what it takes. We don't need to ask, because we know, we've lived it. You have to ask, because you never lived it, so you haven't learned the lessons, can't recognize the difference. If you knew, you wouldn't have needed to ask. I suggest you find a 3rd world country, not a tourist trap, and go volunteer there for at least 1 yr of your life. help them to build a better world for themselves and their families, then you'll understand. Live with them, learn their culture and their ways.
