  9. The fact you don't have capitalism is the reason why people can't uplift themselves out of poverty. The whole 'maker' scene is filled with talented people that could create new tech and sell it right now, but the government 'nanny' regulations make it impossible for people to start new car companies, new airline companies, new media.... and now the regulations are trying to control the internet. Seriously, give your head a shake, UBI is only going to give the glorious government more control over you. What do you suppose happens to the value of the currency when they control how much of it you get? Doomed to welfare.

Please tell me how 'the rich and powerful' can control it, I'd really like to hear it.... because right now your USD (or in my case, CAD) is controlled by them because they are allowed to not only print more money and reward more debt, but also they are in control of the taxation.....
