  1. We are losing because activists are in control of western governments and they know nothing about science and physics. We have technology right now that can create an abundance of energy to reach type 1, but they continue to point fingers, and blame everyone. Furthermore, innovation stems from decentralization and individuals having capital on their hands to create new things in a garage or lab. ...not big government science projects. Example: TCP/IP was created by government, but 'the internet' was created by nerds that took the protocol and had fun with it.
