  2. Timing plays a lot into this too. Being a computer programmer in the 90's was a great idea. Now.... well, now a child can start to use AI software to create better programs. The thing though, is the next step is quantum computers, and programming them. That is still a niche market. Same goes for any skill. You have to have something people need, and preferably when it's popular or most needed and nobody else is doing it.
