  1. Guns are not weapons. Guns are a device that can be used to discourage criminal behavior, in much the same way a hammer, pick axe or shovel can. Guns were not 'designed to kill', they were designed to give individuals the ability to not be ruled by kings or emperors.

  7. Again, best advice is to read 'The Red Circle', and then 'The power of thought' (the reason why I say read in this order is because the first book makes the 2nd that much better). You can achieve greatness, you can provide value to others, you just have to choose to do so. If you are only in it for making money, you will ultimately suck... don't suck, do good things, and money will follow.

I trust the police because I know that I have the potential to de-escalate a situation.    Its one thing to know your rights, its another to get arrogant and angry causing a situation to escalate.   I've spent some times in the back of a cop car, and released shortly after as I wasn't who they were looking for.    The problem in our society is we have progressive laws.  This needs to be addressed as the grey area laws often infringe on peoples rights.  The police are a non-issue for me, lets go after the root of the problem.

This is what happened in Iran when the Muhullas took power and turned everything back to the stone age.  In the process, sending people to Evin prison.   This is what happens when you protest against your government.... the people with the guns and extreme right take over.   Occupy protestors, take note, if you somehow do manage in the future to overthrow your government, the people going to be running America are the KKK and various types of Militia.    Edit:  note, they don't get rid of the booze or cigs, but they will probably get rid of a lot of good things.

  15. Well, like with anything, I don't have a crystal ball. I do however love watching things crash. Why? This is when I buy. I bought some bitcoin back at $2300 Canadian when it was crashing after the Chinese government was threatening about how evil it was. So.... wait until you see something like that happen, when everyone is scared, and then go all in. That said, only invest what you can afford to lose. Many financial friends of mine say that I 'gamble'. Well sure, only because I don't want to retire with a 10% ROI... I want to get a 50% ROI within a week or two... Again, this is up to you to figure out.

  18. I'm curious, everyone seems to try to grandstand here, but might I ask; Why is it someone elses responsibility to come to your rescue if you don't plan for these things to happen in your life? Ten years ago I had .42 cents to my name, now I'm about half a million. I didn't get there waiting for the state to bail me out with their debt based culture and unsustainable economics. Detroit is a perfect example of Socialism in America.

If you are confused, don't know what to do in the world, be part of the protest generation.  Where you can complain and whine for change without doing anything productive at all!    ...imagine if these people got together, and built a better system before trying to destroy the one they have in power. Whenever you tear a society down, the people that take charge are always the extremists with the guns and are often more fascist than the previous guy.   Iran for example.  Ask the people in Elvin prison how they feel.  Vice, stop glorifying this on the internet.  You might call it reporting, but to the spoiled brats of the internet, its just telling them its normal.    Promote DIY.  Promote community and the leaders that help out. ...but I guess those people don't make it worthy enough to get viewers, and eventually add revenue right?

Don't get me wrong folks, I actually support a couple families overseas that are living in poverty.  I donate often to technology based orgs to support developing nations, but I'm a firm believer of 'bullshit walks'.   You cant run a country on good intentions.  Lets say you even take these people in and use as general laborers, then you have a whole other can-of-worms regarding 'slave labor' etc etc etc.   Here in Canada (my current home)  I'd love to take on a bunch of Refugees as workers.  Build my empire on their hard work while they wait for a Visa....    ....its not going to happen, even if they want to work under me.  Too liberal, too many bogus laws and regulations in place.    So bark up another tree about handouts.

I own guns for the same reason I have a fire extinguisher. I don't expect the kitchen will be on fire, but I'll be prepared for if it happens. America, never let them take your 2nd. These people are playing the socialist slow game of taking away your rights. Self defence is a human right and their opinion should not be able to force you to comply. You are not a threat, they are.

  36. Unlike Alberta Canada, Norway has no minimum wage, and gets to keep its oil revenue to help its citizens. They don't suffer nearly as bad socialism as Canada does, hence why they are a utopia of a nation. More Libertarian than leftist.

When you have unions, it increases the price of labour.  I Know everyone would love to be paid more, but when there is a dozen other companies producing the same thing, its just a matter of time before your job is gone.   ...Its like those people that own a Gift Store in a tourist resort...surrounded by more gift stores.

So, if her kid is the state's responsibility, that means she is advocating for your paycheck to be seized (a certain %) to pay for the existence of her kids. Next she'll try to tell you to have 'compassion'. The problem with society is the 'use of force' to get what you want from others. I was working at a bank in Surrey BC making 14hr, it was full time, but there was no way I would ever be able to afford a house, so I moved to Alberta, where there is no PST, and businesses thrive.   I got rewarded for my hard work.  (that might change now with our current socialist lame government)
