Noteworthy: Read up on macrobiotics and insitu oil treatments. Oil is 100% organic and can break down with fungi/microbes making it harmless. Things they don't teach you in activism class.

Dominic Mercurio I was against it because the Americans take a huge percentage of our profit.

Environmental issue? What issue? I work with environmentalists that are dedicated to make these projects work. Don't judge an industry based on things that have not happened. Let people that know what they are doing to excel at what they do so the entire country can Benefit. Stop Corporate welfare, but have a sit down with Canadian Companies and say "build a refinery, we have a plan to be free"

It is working. It get dispersed and chewed up creating carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen.

Instant gratification generation, wants everything to happen yesterday. It will with technology my friend, not with activism.

erik nyjdam Solar is not nearly as good as what the physicists are playing with over at CERN. Solar still requires materials to be mined via diesel equipment, shipped via diesel trucks and diesel trains, transferred onto diesel ships across the ocean to a coal powered factory where they are made, then shipped back in the same process so you and I can buy them. Not green at all. Not even close.

I'd love to buy some solar panels for my house here in Red Deer Alberta, but heavy regulation on the oil and gas industry killed my job, making it unreachable to purchase now. Instead, I have to worry about feeding my kids. Thanks socialism, for the higher taxes, more regulation and keeping royalties.... keep killing our industry.

Don't get me wrong, I like that there is people working on it and figuring it out. Its just extremely not efficient, even if we can get another 40% out of it, the mining and transportation side of things still creates emissions etc.
1
I support people making the changes, not the protesters trying to shut it down.

^comes from mined materials dude. The manufacturing of those solar panels made it redundant. Also, how's your water doing?

Nuclear energy is by far the cleanest. Just keep it off of the pacific rim, and use 5th generation reactors. Super efficient. There is no 'leaks'.
1
I work in the oil and gas industry, but I support Nuclear. It is the cleanest in the world that puts out the most energy. There is no excuse why we all don't have free energy. ...just don't build it where civil unrest, or natural disasters happen often.

fla playa Uh. There is lots of oil. We have not even really explored northern saskatchewan yet.

VICE: If you impose new climate regulation, more royalty hikes, and you have a premiere that took in Oil Protests, that means that over 200,000 employees won't be going back to work when oil gets back up to $80/bbl, now we have to wait until its up to $100/bbl or more. No good can come from this. The NDP also will raise minimum wage, and this will create inflation. Goodbye middle class and small business.
1
walperstyle The tax hikes will probably be just behind to subsidize for all these programs. Further kicking people in the nuts as they move to other provinces. I lived through this in BC. 1996 NDP Seats = 39, 2001 NDP Seats = 2. Nevermind my propaganda. You have to 'fail hard' to lose that bad.

Keystone = not great : because americans take our oil for super cheap East = good, because we can ship via Irving oil, a Canadian company to global markets. Northern Gateway = Best. We need to sell our own oil to Asia at prices we can set so we are not controlled by Opec. Government, let Canadian Companies control Canadian resources. We do it better and safer than the americans. We have environmentalists, thousands of them working in this industry unemployed right now. We want to make a difference.
