  1. Question to the Canadian, as I am one.  How is that possible for your parents to only earn $20,000 between two parents?    Isn't that illegal?  what did they do for work.  When was this?

When you have unions, it increases the price of labour.  I Know everyone would love to be paid more, but when there is a dozen other companies producing the same thing, its just a matter of time before your job is gone.   ...Its like those people that own a Gift Store in a tourist resort...surrounded by more gift stores.

I was working at a bank in Surrey BC making 14hr, it was full time, but there was no way I would ever be able to afford a house, so I moved to Alberta, where there is no PST, and businesses thrive.   I got rewarded for my hard work.  (that might change now with our current socialist lame government)

I don't mind people that don't claim income.  I'd rather them keep that money to use on services for when they do need them.  My wife owns a daycare and its already subsidized a little by government.  We morally object to this as its theft.  We have a socialist government wanting to even subsidize more.  This is further theft from people that don't use our service.

  6. The Canadian Factories have unions, but somtimes, the dollar value (like now) is bad for Canada, and the US can save 25%, and pay out to union demands.

We are looking for private sector school options.  But did you know our Roads are made from Oil and Gravel?  Its a harder 'tar'.   Suppose they didn't teach you that either in the socialist school.   One big oil spill.  Think of that and your glorious government when they turn Orange and want to spend your money building more of them.

  11. NDP is absolutely against the Oil industry.  Notley here in AB attended protests against it, and appointed activists against industry.   Do not vote in the NDP.  They don't seem to understand how to use our resources to pay for glorious social programs.

Its unfortunate that when the Orange Government in Canada raises Minimum Wage and Corporate taxes, we'll have an immediate trigger in inflation, and it will make things more expensive, but small companies will go bankrupt because they probably are already trying to survive on borrowed money.  Its a shame Government gets involved in the Economy.   Let hard working people do what they do best.

  15. sha370z Oh I'd love to get into the discussion about how the banks and the federal government have completely warped what currency is worth.  Lets just say, its another process of control, dictated by the IMF.    Keynesian economics failed, we need Hayek in there.

Middle class disappeared when we went from capitalism to corporatism, meanwhile, government said people need to be paid more, and more regulations somehow make things better.   It basically made the labour market too expensive, and that is why it slowly disappeared. Get government out of the picture. All those glorious social programs killed detroit.
