  3. Guns are not weapons. Guns are a device that can be used to discourage criminal behavior, in much the same way a hammer, pick axe or shovel can. Guns were not 'designed to kill', they were designed to give individuals the ability to not be ruled by kings or emperors.

  7. I think it is also interesting how you think it's society's responsibility to make you feel safe. The police are sometimes hours away from helping you. Let me ask you, if a fire breaks out in your kitchen, would you rather have a fire extinguisher there, or wait for the fire department?

  9. dude, I own a gun in Canada because of the same reason I have fire extinguishers. I don't expect to light the house on fire, but if it catches fire some day, I can deal with the problem without dying or waiting for help. Its called 'personal responsibility'.
