I really dislike the people that complain on the internet about infringement of rights etc.   Honestly, you are not worthy enough to be spied on by a government agency.  They use algorithms and such, and nobody cares about your visits to pornhub.   The agency will start to pay attention when you start getting emails from various known or former criminals, or pickup on key words you say.  Even then, they are not interested unless you are buying or acquiring things.

  67. I hate government. I work in the oil and gas industry, and carbon tax only makes government rich, it doesn't make the world better. I was on my way to saving up $50,000 to pay for solar technology for my house until glorious government overregulated and over-taxed our industry. 200,000 people now unemployed means that nobody is buying solar technology. We are instead buying saudi oil. Solar technology also relies on the oil and gas industry, and it will for some time. When you have mined materials being excavated using diesel powered machines, shipped around the world on diesel powered trucks/trains/ships, and being built in coal powered factories.... maybe we should not shut off one industry without having the other one ready to go. The transition would come naturally, and faster if people like myself could afford to make the change. Please stop voting for socialist governments that take more money away from me, I'm trying to make the world a better place.

  75. Um, I do fight for it. I worked in the oil and gas industry, this funded my ability to buy the house I wanted. I was going to next buy solar panels for my roof (costs about $50,000 to go off grid and be sustainable). The oil industry crashed due to foreign influence and high regulation in my country (Canada). Therefore I couldn't spend the money on my house, instead I needed to feed my family and cover the costs of living in general. I fight for the individuals right to work so they can make the change. Government cannot possibly make change without extorting money from people, and this is wrong. This notion that somehow the government makes things better is a religion of its own. Frankly, my god doesn't make laws to steal from me, or my ability to be sustainable, lol. Yet the public in general keeps voting for them.

The government set the rules for needing 'paper' employees. The government allowed fractional reserve banking and the unchecked power handed to the Federal Reserve. The government sets the trade with other nations, that so often falls apart and ends in war. The reason why jobs are not as easy to come by is because people like you and I can't be job providers. I brew my own beer. How come I can't brew in my garage, hire some kids around the neighbourhood (pay them whatever we negotiate as fair) and then build capital for the company so someday I can open up a better facility , and hire even more people at better wages, or offer management positions to the kids that worked under me? See, goverment regulated our ability to even get into the market unless we have a few million bucks in our back pocket. Even at the municipal level, they have horrible bylaws telling you that the lighting must be so bright, and exits must be so far apart..... Is it any wonder why more jobs are being created in other nations.... people keep electing government to control them, and govenrment isn't smart enough. There is no way I would ever want to be a mailman. Its not as efficient as the other mail systems, and its subsidized heavily by the Taxpayer. Its not sustainable. This wasn't a cheap shot at you as an individual through, its just another industry that got 'too big to fail', and has been magically surviving due to government ever since.

Economic sustainability is when you have no 'nanny' forcing costs on entire industries. I want your kids to be able to start a business at 10 years old if they want. I also want solar and wind technology to decrease in cost... to do this, you don't impose a carbon tax. Why? What drives up one industry, drives up the other. Solar and wind rely heavily on fossil fuels for mined materials, and for shipping resources around the world. To make the switch naturally, we need industry to compliment each other. In fact, socialism does the opposite, it creates monopolies as the only industries that can navigate around expensive regulations and taxation are the big established corporations. So... no, socialism creates a 2 class society (though I know it preaches otherwise).

There is trash still washing up on beaches all over the world. Lucky for her, most her family had places on higher ground. They survived. Climate change is also a cult like mentality. You have people from both sides that claim their science (church) is right. I personally think that we are making minor dents in the climate, and that Nature is the all time champion of kicking our ass, but I also hate seeing people drink poisoned water because of a neglectful socialist government.   578. Instead of keyboard protesting on the internet, how about you get into the sciences and come up with a viable solution. Actually build and implement them. It pays good. I work in the oil and gas industry as a Fluid Engineer, I have friends in Wind Generation, and a cousin that works in Nuclear power plants as a welding inspector.
