Face the facts people, the industry is what brought the population to the area. Jobs. All those industrial workers moved there, and that created other jobs such as restaurants, mechanics, grocery stores, theaters, and so on. People bought houses there because they were close to where they lived. ....now that its several generations, people seem to forget what order this happened. I'd also like to know how long the reserve was actually there. Most aboriginals were nomads if I remember.

Regarding H2S. I actually have my H2S alive. I'd like to know how much PPM that woman measured with her bucket. BTW, you also don't need to mail it to California to find out. For about $50, you can get a H2S monitor that also will check out LEL. The Plants have them... the reason why they didn't warn the pubic is because it wasn't over 10ppm. Sorry to drop facts on you people that complain but don't know anything.

Regarding those ugly looking tanks and upkeep. There is industry regulations in place that all Vessels (those tanks) get xray/sonar tested by specialists often to insure the H2S Gas isn't eating away at the welds or structure. They do get replaced. Just because the paint is chipped off the side of one doesn't mean its not working. ...it only means someone selected the wrong paint.

The funny thing though is most Aboriginal people were nomads. The land claims are bogus. You, I, or they don't own the land... we hang out for a while, make the best and move on. That reserve has just about as much right as the refinery.
