  1. Why keep this telescope when you can build one for a lot cheaper elsewhere in the world. The cost to maintain this one is a lot more then it would be to build a new one elsewhere and maintain it. No offence america, but you out-priced yourself because of unions and the whole 'entitlement' attitude.

  2. No offence America, but your government can't afford to fund projects like this on union wages. China's exploration is going to surpass everyone within the next while because workers there don't get paid $30+/hr. You can't afford to save this telescope, as sad it is, that is greed.
