  1. Well stated Dr. Carson. However, rather than "combat" homelessness, solve the problem of homelessness. Military terminologies tend to undermine a more holistic approach. Another is the "war" on cancer, or, the "war" on poverty. Corrections in terrain -- either external or internal -- are not a war, but predicated upon the complimentary principle of, "PLANT a garden, and the life will follow," or be renewed. Like welfare, poverty and a victim mentality, need not become a fixed condition, but rather a bridge to better days.
