  1. America is not a democracy Maria. The Founding Fathers gave the American people a constitutional republic, governed by a rule of legislated law, commensurate with constitutional guidelines & prerogatives. To depict the republic as a "democracy," therefore, perpetuates a fundamental distortion & misrepresentation as to the authentic form of American government. Further, far too often, the Democrat Party is not in its ways and means, "democratic."

  2.  Tim Palentey  Well then, they are acting contrary to the principles of a Republican form of government. The Republic must be restored, and abuses to the contrary corrected. There has been too much "verbicide" from the bench, a term coined by Oliver Wendell Holmes, whereby justices take leave to (re)interpret the constitution as if they themselves had written it rather than the American Founding Fathers.
