Tents are no place to be in a hot sun. More like a solar oven. An open sided fly is better. Many of these people are suffering from shame which is a psychological block. In essence, they don't feel capable of handling conventional notions about life, work and responsibility. Paradoxically, they feel more at ease -- a comfort that is made tolerable by substances that numb their pain -- under less demanding circumstances and expectations. Underneath it all, man in principle must create and be productive to feel worthy. Largely because they fear their effort will result in failure, many are incapable of even taking the first step. It becomes difficult to make a move on one's own behalf, when the inner fire has been dimmed, and possibilities for a meaningful, productive life are widely in contraction. This ultimately -- whether at a societal or an individual level -- leads to an abdication from life, producing entropy and chaos.
