Note: In both white and black culture, youth culture has overwhelmed the prerogatives of an adult culture. This is the first time in history youth culture, largely a product of the music industry, fast food, TV and what passes for education, has ascended to dominance over the values of elders and "traditional" values. The "glue" that holds a family or a nation together is a shared philosophy of life and trust. Rather than moral principle for its own sake and an economy of mutual affirmation, these have been lost to moral pluralism and an economy of mutual predation. A restoration of first principles is key to renewal and progress.
