Oliver Wendell Holmes named it "verbicide" -- That Justices of The Supreme Court often commit verbicide upon the Constitution, meaning, they interpret the Constitution as if they themselves had written it rather than how the founding fathers intended. Through such means then, the Constitution becomes a dead, rather than a living document.
