The "un-alein-able" - no lein shall be placed - rights to life, liberty & private property, according to my understanding, was replaced by Thomas Jefferson to read, the un-alein-able rights to life, liberty and a "pursuit of happiness." The problem is, in an absence of a right to property, which includes one's labor and it's wage, there can be neither a right to liberty nor life. So the American Constitutional Republic, is founded to protect the private property of men from intrusion and confiscation. This principle of privacy, is particularly relevant in today's world.
