These things sound cool in theory but they won't happen because manufacturers won't enable them without also harvesting obscene amounts of data from us. This is why so many "smart" devices won't work without an active connection to the manufacturer's server. When the manufacturers has an outage or just decides to turn off that server because they don't want to pay money to maintain it. Well then you're locked out of your home/car/office, can't turn the lights on or control the hvac system. These problems aren't theory they've already happened repeatedly.
