Japan reminds me that all countries have problems and no country is perfect
It's not about them, it's about us. If you can love others (friends/family/partners) by seeing who they are, I'm sure we can discover beautiful people instead of blaming others.
For example, I love living here in Mexico, a lot of people have this idea this is a dangerous couintry, and while they're not wrong haha that doesn't mean everything is bad or that everyone is bad here, that violence is heavy doesn't mean all mexicans are violent (like it is impossible that all japenese don't know about love) thanks to videos like this I can see and accept both the good things abd bad things in my country and still love Mexico with my heart, of course I want us to improve, but I also know there are some things out of my reach and it's a group effort of all of us to fix things for the better
Same with Japan, they have a lot of problems, but if I can love a heavily flawed country like mine, I definitely can love Japan for what they are. Doesn't mean I don't want themto see them grow but rather that I grew and can love people and countries / societies for what they are, not for what I want them to be.
So I don't think it is a country problem, it may be a difference in valies problen for you. I may sound arrogant but there's a reason generally people around the world likes us mexicans , because we are warm and welcoming and maybe it's not about japanese in this case, but about your own needs, morals and cultural differences from them. Because I know japanese people can love others as kuch as yoiu or me, they just need nore time to get warned to others. To feel safe and secure.

But there's hikikomori around the world, and people shun them away too and we don't talk about them so aren't we in the west doing the same?
Look at the statistics for America for example, half of young people feel isolated frok everybody, that's a scary number, I'm not saying japanese don't need to focus on their problems, but we should also focus on our problems, be hukble and not pretend we don't have those kinds of problems, because we do, and we are looking away, that doesn't make us better, we need to do hetter for our people here in the west too.

@CentauriTT Well, again, before talking, read a little before sounding like an ignorant person....
Japan working hours are less than US working hours, and yes, they can improve, an bro, I am from Mexico, the number 1 country with most working hours, for me, going to Japan would be an improvement....

@agapp11able I'm not telling you're wrong, people on the internet seem to have this obsession with being right and generally have their ego so inflated I know there's no use in convincing them about something different from their perspectives, including you of course.
But seeing and studying cultures and welcoming people ideas I've seen things are not "simple" they are very complex, simple is only used when we don't know about something, when our ignorance doesn't let us see the grey aspects in problems
I don't know why you comment though, I obviously won't be convinced of your opinion (which is not a fact, our opinions are not facts, we are not perfect, we're flawed humans) maybe it is to convince yourself of your "righteousness ".
I want to accept our flaws as humans and go the opposite way the Internet is going towards, that means I wanna be more open minded and empathic instead of obsessing over being "right"
Either way, have a nice day and greetings from Mexico

@agapp11able haha, I'm sorry I wrote a lot, I just don't tend to agree with internet half assed and black and white opinions, I prefer to speak with real life people, I don't mind political discussions, social discussions too like abortion, democracy etc with a person as long as I can see them irl, if not, I don't think is worth "fighting" to see whose right when we don't even know each other
That's my way of living though, you can fight with many others in the internet aside from me
And it's not just you, most people in the internet have this massive ego, thinking they have the right and only opinion while ignoring everything else that doesn't fit their narratives, becoming more ignorant than they think, you're not unique, is something common in the internet
So you can take your sigh and contempt away and be miserable fighting with stangers in other forums, again, greetings from Mexico

It's interesting because that happens to me as latino, I never had a lot of friends, right now I don't have any friends which I can communicate with, and that's alright, I feel good because I have my family who supports me, but I know I'll have to get out there and let others see me. I don't want to spend my life without friends but it has been difficult even in a country where foreigners think we all are warm and welcoming to others.
And with covid that feeling of loneliness also worsened, you could say it's "easy" to make mexican friends, but I kind of have a different mentality than a lot of mexicans so I feel I don't belong here at times, but it is what it is, I think it is important to try and meet new people because at the end, good relationships imo are the most important thing we can build in our lives

@thathandsomedevil0828 And again, one more time, like hell, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU CARE ABOUT HER DECISIONS, she talked about it with her husband, it's their problem, not your, if you wouldn't do it that's ok, but learn to have some respect to other people at least. And more if they're adults or a couple that already talked about the issue, be mature, please.

@idleeidolon Yup, I think of them as I think of my mexican people, we are a falwed society but I poove ky mexican people, same with Japan, I know they are flawed and as you said, there's a lot of people who won't heklp other out of fear, but I still love them.
I mean, if I can love what can be at times a violent, corrupt, unpunctual, rude, with crab mentality society I think I can be open enough in my heart and mind to love another flawed society like japanese people. Because it's not about wanting to change other in the ways we think it's the "correct" way of living but accepting the good and bad aspects while we trying to do our best ibdividually imo.
Those are my thoughts on different cultures you don't have to agree with me of course, I love to criticize but also beijg aware that neither me nor my country are perfect

@The game The movie Yeah, that's why I want to go to Japan, because when I was a kid I was heavily bullied and everyday that I came to home I was always excited to see new cultural stuff, anime, food, etc from over there, so you could say that they kept me alive when I was young.
Over the years I've come to love Mexico even with all the massive amount of problems we have, and I've come to the conclusion that my goal is to give back to japanese people all the lessons and love (I know how cheesy it sounds) they gave me even if it was indirectly.
So if I can love and accept a very broken and problematic country and society like Mexico, I think I have the maturity to live over there and love and accept their people, to help them go through one of the biggest sistematic problems in japan (school) to help them become better people and to give back what they gave me, which is love.
Sounds cheesy but generally that's how we are as mexicans lmao

@1lovelucas The abortion thing is worrying though, but yeah, all countries have problens to work through, I don't think that makes ones better than others, just that we are going through a lot of changes, here in Mexico you can imagine how many things we need to change though haha.
Though I want to say this, I'm hopeful, that both my people and japanese people will improve (as well as other countries), because I also want to keep seeing my people, my country with love and hope while being aware of our problems, that goes for other countries too like japan.
Hopefully I made myself clear, these are complex emotions I have haha, have a nice day!!!

@Reameb JP Wait...I don't understand this "defending foreign" policy you are talking about...Like....You are not told to get out, but if you cannot speak japanese you are giving japanese people a hard time, just because you feel entitled that the world should adapt to you doesn't mean it should....
Like here in Mexico, SO MANY GRINGOS (Americans) refuse to speak Spanish, they just come to live hrre because it is cheaper for them....
But the people who we have seen try to speak Spanish more are Asians like koreans, japanese and chinese, not westerners....
So who is more racist here? The ones trying to communicate with us and be part of our community or the ones coming just for convenience?
Again, japanese people are weird at times, doesn't mean all of them do it with bad intentions or that the bad stuff represents them, I barely see people putting them on a pedestal, unless YOU think people are stupid, which would make you the prejidiced one here don't you think so?
Yes, there's racism and discrimination in Japan, sadly that happens all around the world, doesn't mean it make your life impossible or in danger like in the US ....

@ayameisastar For example, I HATED Mexico up to three years ago, I really didn't like the violence, the violent people, the very low wages, the crazy ass long working hours (OCDE says we're the #1 country with more working hours, more than South Korea) I mean, everything about Mexico was for me really savage, I wanted to escape from jere as fast as possible. But meaning that, that I hated everything and everyone here meaned I wasn't in peace, and I would never be at peace with any country no matter how good it would be, because I would always find something bad about it.
So I knew that if I wanted to get our of here I would need to accept it first, to understand all the amazingly awful stuff happening here and to be at peace with all of that bad stuff and focus on the good like my family.
So when people say they ansolutely haye their countries of origin, it really pains to see me to see those people so at war when they don't need to be at war because they will fuck themselves hard enough to lower their quality of life tbh.

Well jeez, is like teenagers don't develop their sexuality or somwthing or that they cannot start learning about that stuff. Yes, I get it, if she seeks doing that stuff with grown men is very weird but....That's her life, we cannot tell her what to do or not as long as she protects herself and is clear about what she does to her parents as embarrasing as it can be.
That's why parents should support their kids and give them a space to talk about stuff, you cannot control teens, a lot of them will do stupid stuff, that's the reality, but as long as parents can talk and have an open space to let their kids develop ibto who they are, that include their sexuality, then that's all they can do
Where's our "PROGRESSIVENES" as western nations guys? Are we just a bunch of hypocrites and become conservative when we don't like something? That's not progressiveness

Grettings from Mexico myndude, if you didn't get what I said then it's bot my problem

@Maegal Roammis Careful, what you say is discrimination, imagine that you would "know us mexicans really well"
And in your mind all of us are narcos who sell drugs, violent, lazy and ignorant....That is prejudice and you are putting yourself in a superior place from others....
You ARE NOT BETTER OR SUPERIOR THAN OTHERS, as much as it pains you, we are all equal, you and us mexicans, you and japanese people.
The only idiot that thinks that he is superior to others, above others to judge others like you did is the funny mustache man fromWorls War 2, he believed he was better than others, he spoke of other cultures with such poison like yoi do, don't be lile him, don't be a massove piece of sh-....
Greetings from Mexico

@virgilthemob1242 Ok so I see you got this kind of incel mentality to you so as mexican let me tell you this, that kind of mentality only breeds prejudice, and hate, and it can become into dangerous actions, learn from us guy, here in Mexico we have MASSIVE problems with violence towards women and people who think like you here in Mexico don't help with the aituation they only make it worse.
So, yes, this lady is making excuses....So what? She and her husband agreed it was ok, it's not your problem, it's not your culture, japanese culture is very different from the west, we cannot force them to be like us, that's BS so just let her be, no need to point that she's "evil" or like "all other women". That's just a dangerous mindset

The thing is my man, is that although you know, you don't know, Japan live through a deflation, the opposite of deflation , that's why wages aren't that good.
Also, wages shouldn't be everything, as mexican I don't really agree with the gringo mebtality of more money= happier life and I guess japanese people feel a little bit like that too, they are people who take a lot of pride in their work and put their identities in their job, not in the money the earn like USA people do.
They do have problems but if you see, the west is OBSSESED with Asian adult videos, especially Japan videos, there are adult websites who tell us their data and most viewed video and the west has a hige fetish on Asia lmao, so it's not just japan.

@Sboink The Leg Day Not obly that, it seems you think of us people living in developing coubtries as just people who want to escape but tell me your majesty, who do you think is selling all the weapons to cartels abd organized crime here in Mexico? CUBA? HAHAHA, AFRICA? HAHAHAHA
It's the US, and they consume a toooon of drugs, you can blane us mexicans but at the end, gribgos consume drugs like crazy and sell weapons like crazy to this country.....
So yeah, we have a ton of viokence sasly, out of the 30, 000 homicides per year, 24 000 are from guns....The US is killing us but of course..We developing cou tries and people are worse abd less intelligent and "developed" countries are saints abd special and above others....ugh....
