  3. What deal? A memorandum of understanding is NOT a deal, so this deal is moonshine.. It is unenforceable in International law. To be a deal, Trump would sign a treaty, which is enforceable in international law. Trump is playing this not for peace, or even business, but for optics. It's all for show and good TV. He is not a serious person, all he wants is approval for doing what? nothing substantive. This is for him, a performance. And tbh, Ukraine needs treaties, not performative props like MoUs.
