One problem is that consumption is mostly coming from the top of the income distribution. The assetless and the asset-limited have no surplus to spend. That's bad for an economy dependant on the consumption of everyone but the asset wealthy.

@robymaru03 If you can do better, do so. If you can't tell that the US, economy is not working as it should, and that the speculative part of the economy is sucking the productive economy g the one that actually produces higher aggregate employment and a chance of a living wage, which drives consumption amongst everyone but the minority asset wealthy - then you might not see the wood for the trees. It's all the hot air in the economy that has to bleed off, before the correction will occur. The illusion of wealth is driving valuations, and not the fundamentals. This is it won't drop quickly. Rather, it's like a bleed out in the canopy of a hit air balloon. It's going to hit the ground, so hedge, and be prepared.
