If everyone and everything is biased, then what is the point of Ground News? Being biased is how our brains evolved to save processing resources. We literally process data and information through heuristics as rules of thumb, which are shortcuts. so everything is biased. So you cannot avoid bias. What you should avoid are outlets that claim to be "neutral" or "objective". Rather use news outlets that are honest about their biases, and consume consciously and critically.

Consumerism extended to helping people feel better informed by handing over money, instead of really informing them, which would make the app pretty useless, is just capitalism's way. Capitalism is a cultural as well as an economic project. And in this, our ego desire for status and certainty is captured and put to work to make money for someone else, whilst not really disturbing a pretty fundamental blind spot everyone has about themselves and the media they consume. But if all media sources are biased, because everyone is biased - including you, you cannot avoid bias. So you cannot be using Ground News for avoiding bias, because you can't. Neutrality is an illusion. Re Chomsky. I suggest you download the transcript and read it, and think about it. Because you're missing the point of the piece, which is if you're paying for Ground News, you're wasting your money, if your buying it to avoid bias, which is it's Unique Selling Point. All News Sources Are Biased simply Because They Are Created By Humans who are Biased. If all news sources are biased, you'd be better off looking for sources who are honest about their bias, and looking for counterarguments and counterfactual information in their output. Ground News doesn't help you identify those sources, or analyse their output.
