Can't disagree with one word you have said. Winning is necessary but insufficient by itself to create consensus, or to address the divisions in the country. Labour have only said so far: "We're not the Tories". And that's it. And their behaviour is utterly contrary to that. So, whomsoever they are, I'm not sure they know that narrative. They are blind to their own contradictions to the extent that they are opaque. They have no overarching narrative, that is their USP. They may be in the end a bookmark in history, a placeholder government, when they should be writing their own story.
